In order to be mindful, we have to know what mindfulness is. According to the dictionary, mindfulness is described in two ways.
#1 The quality or state of being conscious or aware of something.
#2 A mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
Back in April, when lockdowns first started, I embraced slowing down. All the time in the world with my kids and days full of doing all kinds of things around the house.
We are still staying home but I’ve found myself feeling uneasy again lately. Stressed about uncertainty, struggling to stick to a routine, and feeling rushed with no need to feel rushed. Anyone else?
My hope is that 30 days of mindfulness actions paired with my current 30-Day Fitness Challenge will help me regain the balance I need in life. I should feel pretty darn good mentally and physically going into the new year and I don’t know about you but I’m looking forward to a 2021 ful of positivity!
