Mouthwatering Margarita Bark
Ingredients
- White candy melts
- Lime Green Candy Melts
- 2 Tablespoons Tequila
- 1 Tablespoon Sweetened Lime Juice
- Sparkling Sugar
How to Make Margarita Bark
First, place a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet. Next, Melt white candy melts according to directions, either in the microwave or on the stove top. if you haven’t tried it yet, this Wilton Candy Melting Pot is great too!
Let the melted chocolate cool before adding the Tequila. Once cooled, stir in 2 tablespoons of tequila to the white candy melts. You may have to add a little bit more tequila to make sure the chocolate doesn’t seize up.
Melt the lime green candy melts at the same time, adding the 1 tablespoon of sweetened lime juice after melting. Now, pour white chocolate onto parchment paper and use a knife or spatula to smooth out.
On top of the white chocolate, pour the lime green candy melts. Use a knife to make swirls. If you do a figure 8 a few times it looks pretty neat.
Sprinkle the sparkling sugar onto the chocolate. Make sure you work fast because it will harden quickly. When you are done, place it into the fridge until it completely hardens.
Once hardened, break into pieces for snacking on! Make sure you keep it away from small children and let the older kids know that it is an adult only dessert.

Hi JJcat – I’m so sorry I’m just seeing your comment! I realized I left out that you need to let the chocolate cool before adding the Tequila. I have updated the post to reflect that!

I love this adult version of bark candy. My mom always made Tiger’s Butter every holiday season. It’s similar to this in that you take white and chocolate candy melts and melt them, add peanut butter, pour, swirl, set and break up for eating. I’ve never heard of this recipe before but it’s going on my To Do List for when my sister comes to visit Labor Day Weekend!

Did you make this? I just tried it and it was a horrible mess. As soon as you add liquid to the mouth they begin to harden. The white melts with the tequila are fine but the green with the lime juice was horrible. Did you have any luck?

Better directions would have been nice!!! Not sure when your supposed to add the liquid?? But if you add it while your melting it… It changes the constancy!!! Not really all that pretty like the pic above!
