Easy, decadent, and dipped in chocolate. These St. Patrick’s Day Milano Cookies are great for adults and kids alike!
You don’t have to go all for all the holidays and these cookies are an easy way to do that. Add St. Patrick’s Day cookies to your menu with this easy recipe.
St. Patrick’s Day Milano Cookies
St. Patrick’s Day Milano Cookies Ingredients (Yields 15)
- 1 (7 oz) package Chocolate Mint Milano cookies
- 12 oz Wilton light cocoa candy melts
- 1/4 cup Wilton green candy melts
- Shamrock confetti sprinkles
- Dark green jimmies
- Light green jimmies
This makes me wonder. Do you call them jimmies or sprinkles? Is there a difference besides where a person lives and their preference?
How to Make St. Patrick’s Day Milano Cookies
First, line a large baking sheet with wax or parchment paper. Open the Milano cookies and lay them all out on the baking sheet.
Next, warm the light cocoa candy melts in a double boiler pan over medium heat. Stir the melts occasionally until melted and smooth.
Pour the melted chocolate into a small bowl for easier dipping. Now, dip each cookie halfway into the melted chocolate and place back on the lined baking pan.
Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle the shamrock confetti sprinkles and dark and light green jimmies on top of each cookie.
In a microwave-safe bowl, add the green candy melts. Microwave for 45 seconds and stir until completely melted and smooth.
With a teaspoon, drizzle the melted green chocolate on top of each cookie. Chill these St. Patrick’s Day cookies for 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
You can store these easy holiday cookies in an airtight container for up to one month, but I doubt they last that long!
Leave a batch of these cookies at the end of a St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt or laid out for an after school snack. They are easy enough the kids could help make them, too!
For adults, mix up one of these St. Patrick’s Day Cocktails to enjoy with your cookies! Tasty pairing, sort of like grown up Girl Scout cookies!
