As I was thinking about the twins starting preschool the other day, something hit me. That’s two additional lunches to pack, and two more hungry bellies walking in the door after school. It’s a good thing I already make things easy on myself, so doubling up won’t be too bad. Getting to write extra lunch box notes, and have fun with String Cheese Holiday Decorations isn’t bad either.
String Cheese is a big favorite in our house. Yours? It’s a snack that even the twins can grab themselves, and they have fun eating it too. My teen daughter even grabs some after school, but she likes to leave it on the counter for awhile to soften up a bit. I don’t know about you, but I like my cheese straight out of the fridge. No matter how you like it, if you need easy on-the-go or after school snacks and lunch boxes ideas, add Disney® String Cheese to the list. I grab mine at Walmart, but they are available at other retailers. You can get a little festive too, with these printable String Cheese Holiday Decorations. Who wouldn’t love a string cheese that looks like Santa, a reindeer, an elf, or even a man with mustache?!
Seriously though, how fun are these?! The twins giggled hysterically when they saw them, so this may have to be a holiday tradition. 😀 My son is going to love lunch next week, when he opens it up to a different string cheese wrapper every day. You can cut them out and store them in a plastic baggie until your ready to put them on the string cheese. A little dot of glue on the back of each decoration is all you need. You can also use a permanent markers to add any additional details you want.
They aren’t just fun to decorate, String Cheese is also a wholesome, healthy snack you can feel good about giving kids. Disney® Frozen String Cheese, isn’t about the character on the package, although it does help me get my kids to make a responsible choice when snacking. It’s about a good source of calcium and protein that is made with milk, and tastes yummy too! Yes, I may have snuck one or two, for quality control and all. 😉
I have to admit, keeping string cheese on hand is a benefit for me as well. You see, when the days would get crazy and the evening schedule packed, I found myself reaching for whatever to give my kids for snack. They weren’t always the best choices and that’s because I wasn’t make good choices at the grocery store. Picking up snacks I can feel good about AND that the kids enjoy, like Disney® Frozen String Cheese, makes me feel better about those hurried snack choices. When they are dressed up, it’s all the more fun!
