One of my summer goals is to have weekly outdoor movie nights. We didn’t get in as many as I would have liked last year and with the kids on their first official day of summer break we are celebrating this weekend with one!

I wanted to do something special to make our outdoor movie nights more fun. Something special and easy because just making sure I remember to have a movie night each week can often be a task.

Candy Buckets for Outdoor Movie Night

Every outdoor movie night I plan to have a concessions table set up, even if it’s just us and the kids. For now just our patio table a cheap tablecloth, bucket with ice and drinks and DIY Candy Bucket and Popcorn Bucket I recently made!

This DIY Candy Bucket is super easy to make so I had to make one for popcorn too. Instantly one of the twins asked if they could eat the popcorn with the shovel that came with the bucket lol!

I made labels for these buckets with decal materials. If you have access to a vinyl cutting machine or know someone who does that will make this really easy.

To make them, I used a graphics program and typed the words candy and popcorn in a fun font. Then I placed them inside the shape I chose and cut them out in 5″ sizes on decal material. You could also do this with letter stickers or permanent markers too.

Pick up some inexpensive sand buckets, I found mine at Walmart for $0.97, to attach the labels too. They are just the right size for candy, popcorn, and even glow sticks!

I’ll be filing these buckets with popcorn and all kinds of OREO Chocolate, including the new OREO Cookies & Crème Chocolate King Size Bar at Walmart. Yep, they raised the bar, again!

You’ll probably want to hide an extra one for yourself because those OREO cookie pieces and Milka white chocolate candy come together to create this amazingly delicious candy bar that will make you forget what’s playing on the outdoor movie screen!
