12 Baby Shower Games: Fan Favorites

I recently co-hosted a baby shower for my best friend. Looking for baby shower games, they all seemed like the same over done game.

So, I asked you, the fans, what fun Baby Shower games you have played and there were some awesome responses! Thus, here is your list of Fan Favorite Baby Shower Games!

I was looking for shower games and they all seemed the same. I asked you, the fans, what fun Baby Shower Games you have played and I've rounded them up!

Baby Shower Games: Fan Favorites

Sarah: “My friend, sister -n-law, and myself have all done a diaper raffle. You put a note in the Baby Shower Invitation stating you are playing a diaper raffle and it is optional for them, but if they want to play they need to bring an unwrapped pack of diapers. As the guest arrive, put a number and name on every pack. Then you put the same numbers in a hat. The pack of diapers you draw, wins. For the prize we used $20 restaurant gift cards.”

Heather:  “Guess the food in the diaper is always a fun one. Use stuff like nutella, mashed bananas, melted chocolate, baby foods etc. and put them in a diaper.”

Ashley: “I like the one where you have people race to drink a baby bottle LOL Winner gets a prize. Fun fun!!” (This is one of the baby shower games I have actually won!)

Debbie: “At my shower, each guest was given a newborn sized diaper and a sharpie pen. They had to write a message or give me advice written on the back of the diaper. It definitely made us all laugh when I read the comments out loud, and it made those middle of the night diaper changes a little more entertaining.”

Tb: “I did a great one for a wedding shower that you could adapt for a baby shower. I did like a newlywed game where I asked the husband questions at some date before the shower and video taped it. At the shower I would ask the wife the question and then play the husbands answer and see if they matched up. You could ask weird parenting questions or baby care questions and do the same thing. Make up some kind of reward/punishment thing if she get is right or wrong.”

Olivia: “We’ve done “baby pictionary” — using a big poster/marker board with baby-themed or nursery rhyme-themed clues. That was refreshingly fun.”

Allie: “Pin the sperm on the egg was hilarious.”

Nikki: “At my shower, my friend took newborn diapers and melted different candy bars in each diaper. Everyone had to taste the candy bar out of the diaper and the person with the most correct guesses won a prize! ha!”

Melissa: “We froze teeny plastic babies in ice. Once everyone was there, they got an ice baby in a small cup. When the baby melted out of the cube, naturally, no sucking on the ice, the guest yells “My water broke!” It’s a hoot!”

Michelle: “My aunt had a good one when I was at my cousin’s wife’s shower. She had names of TV families and we had to name all of the family members. She did give us the first letter of their names as a hint. She used shows like ‘All in the Family’,”The Simpsons’, ‘Leave it to Beaver’, ’19 kids and counting’, ETC.”

Kina: “When I had my shower we had baskets of baby socks and the first person to match them all won. Needless to say I had plenty of socks for the new baby! lol AND We also played the rice game where you give everyone a bowl of rice with safety pins inside. The guests close their eyes and whoever finds the most pins in a minute wins! It’s very hard to feel the difference between the rice and the pins!”

Nadine: “‎7 different themed baskets made up (such as coffee basket, soup basket, bath & body works basket, etc.) everyone gets 5 tickets when they arrive to put into one of the 7 boxes for whatever basket they would like a chance to win. One winning ticket is drawn out of each box for each of the themed basket. Pretty easy and simple and family, friends, food, gift opening for the precious little one and good conversation.”

Do you have any favorite baby shower games to add to the list?

Wow what a list of fun ideas! I’m 7 months pregnant now, planning to have a baby shower by next month. I like Heather’s idea, I might try it with my friends.
