The other day a friend asked about holiday traditions on Facebook. What people’s holiday traditions were, and ideas on new Christmas traditions she could start.
It got me thinking about our traditions and how much I love them. Both the holiday traditions I’ve carried on from childhood, and ones I’ve started.
Our Christmas Morning Scavenger Hunts tradition is a fairly a new one I started a few years ago. Do you have any holiday traditions you’ve carried on or started?
Christmas Morning Scavenger Hunts
My holiday tradition of Christmas Morning Scavenger Hunts has become a favorite of my kids, especially a Christmas Stocking Scavenger Hunt. It melds both a childhood favorite and a new tradition together.
Growing up, “Candy Storybooks” were something I always received in my stocking. A tradition I have carried on with my own kids.
A new tradition I’ve started with those Candy Storybooks are Christmas Morning Scavenger hunts! They lead to their stockings with Candy Storybooks tucked inside, among other things.
You would think stuffing stockings would be easy but it’s always my last thing to complete. What about you?
It’s hard to pick just one of the Holiday Storybooks for the stockings, so I got one of each! How fun will that be?!
Mega fun if you ask me! With a Christmas Morning Storybook Scavenger Hunt and themed clues that lead to each Storybook they are sure to let mama catch a few more minutes of sleep on the couch, right?

Christmas Morning Scavenger Hunts
The scavenger hunt clues for Christmas morning start off leading to the Starburst® Storybook. This year’s Storybook includes a holiday selfie frame so you can send #SweetSelfie greetings to friends and family. For that reason, this book and clue can be hidden somewhere that you charge your phone.
