You know the phrase “Don’t judge a book by its cover.“? The same works for places to eat. If you do, you won’t realize that you can get oh so many things covered in chocolate at The MilkShake Factory in Pittsburgh.

That’s right, it’s more than just milkshakes. WAY more!

(I was provided with an all-expenses-paid trip to Pittsburgh.)

Get Your Chocolate On at The MilkShake Factory in Pittsburgh

We visited the Downtown Pittsburgh location. I felt like I had been transported into an old-fashioned ice cream soda fountain with a modern look.

Behind the glass were rows and rows of chocolatey treats. So many kinds of chocolate and things dipped in chocolate and chocolate chocolate chocolate!

The Chocolate Bar at The MilkShake Factory is a chocolate lovers dream. Of course, I went straight for the chocolate covered bacon!

Oh, and a peanut butter filled chocolate pretzel heart and chocolate candy bark. Some of it made it home for the kids to sample and some didn’t. I let you guess what…

While I didn’t try any ice cream, several people I was with did and they really liked it. The MilkShake Factory menu has classic shakes, ice cream sundaes, and drool-worthy Gourmet Milkshakes.

We’re talking Bananas Foster, Fried Ice Cream, Chocolate Dipped Strawberry, Midnight Cookies and Cream, and more.

If you are planning a visit to Pittsburgh, satisfy your sweet tooth with a stop at The Milk Shake Factory! Your taste buds will thank you!

The Milk Shake Factory story begins in 1914 as a small soda fountain and chocolate shop in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood. Today, The Milk Shake Factory is Pittsburgh’s premier dessert destination serving up handspun shakes, craft sundaes, and premium chocolates.
