This is a sponsored post with Amazon on last minute twins costumes as part of Forward Influence. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Last Minute Twins Costumes Made with Amazon Smile Boxes

As my boy girl twins get older, their likes and dislikes are becoming more different. When it comes to Halloween costumes, this is probably the last year I’ll be able to get them to dress in a twins costume. You can bet I’m taking full of advantage of that!

Amazon Prime Boxtumes are back and in one day my husband and I whipped together last-minute twins costumes made with Amazon Smile Boxes. As Amazon Prime Members, we take advantage of the convenience and free two-day shipping, which means lots of boxes.

We’re not the only ones with plenty of Amazon smile boxes for boxtumes laying around, right? What are Boxtumes you ask? They are creative costumes made at home using Amazon smile boxes and crafting supplies that you already have around the house!

I’m pretty impressed with how our Washer and Dryer twins costumes using Amazon Smiles Boxes turned out! They were a lot of fun to make, too! If you want to make your own, here’s how we did it in a day!

Step 1: Cut one long flap off the top on one end of the box.

Step 2: Tape all the sides together on the other end of the box.

Step 3: Tape down the top flaps and cut out semicircles to give space for the head.

Step 4: Cut out arm holes on each side. We went 2 inches in from the side and 6.5 inches down from the top for our holes. A little tip: after you cut one, stand them side by side and trace the circles onto the second box.

Step 5: Take a break if you have a cat because you are working with cardboard boxes that they obviously are going to try and claim…

Step 6: Spray paint red or white or whatever color you want.

Step 7: Once they’re dry, decorate them with washer and dryer features. For the front, we used toss-away cake domes and put doll clothes inside of them before super gluing them to the front of the box.

I also painted random container lids white to use for the knobs. Before gluing them on, I painted gray boxes and circles and added words and settings once they were dry.

Finally, I taped a fake detergent bottle and tiny laundry basket on top to complete these washer and dryer twin costumes!

I may not have much of my grandma’s crafty genes, but I’ve got mad skills when it comes to box costumes! Amazon Smile boxes can also be used to craft other custom Halloween items—from DIY treat containers and masks to decorations and haunted houses.

When we were done making twins costumes using Amazon Smiles Boxes, we also made simple DIY Halloween party decor with smaller Amazon Prime smile boxes! Using a pumpkin stencil, we cut out the front of the box.

Then we taped it all shut and spray painted it pumpkin orange.

Battery operated tea lights make it light up at night like a pumpkin box! It’s perfect if you have pets that like to snack on real pumpkins you try using inside.

We had a ton of fun making boxtumes and DIY Halloween Decor with Amazon Boxes. I hope you grab your boxes and get creative this month, too!
