*I attended this event on behalf of Disney and all expenses were covered. Any opinions are 100% my own.
On Tuesday night, I got all fancied up and hit the Red Carpet for Disney’s Big Hero 6 Premiere! This is the fourth Red Carpet Premiere I have attended on behalf of Disney, and each time it’s just as magical as the first time. It really is like the Red Carpets that you see on TV! Cameras flashing, celebrities all around, and hundreds of people both young and young at heart, excitedly filled the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood.
I have to admit, dressing up isn’t my normal thing, but when I found this gorgeous black dress at JCPenney’s for $25 (I know right?!) I was actually excited to get all dolled up! So, fancy I got, and to the Big Hero 6 Red Carpet I went, with 24 of some of the best bloggers I have met.
Every other Red Carpet I have walked, security guards would rush us down the carpet as we tried to snap our pictures. This time, I encountered the nicest Red Carpet Security Guard I have met! He asked us to line up single file and enjoy our picture-taking, yet still allow others to get down the carpet. He was so nice, I had to snap a pic with him. 😀
Once I hit the El Capitan Theatre Lobby, I grabbed my Big Hero 6 Bucket of Popcorn and there was Kevin Nealon! I didn’t ask for a picture, as he was with his son, but I did thank him for all the years of laughs on SNL. I did snap two pictures that will make me Mom Of the Year with my kiddos though! If your kids (or you) watch Disney, you may know these two fellas as Calum Worthy and Ross Lynch from Austin & Aly! 😉
Many of the stars of the film where at the Big Hero 6 Premiere with their families. Many of the creators and team members that worked on the film were there with their families. That’s one of the wonderful things about Disney Movie Premieres, especially the family friendly ones, that really makes you feel like you are among friends. (You have to read Lady and The Blog’s Big Hero 6 Premiere Post for more on that – have tissues handy.) The atmosphere, the ambiance, and all of the people are what turn “watching a movie” into an entire experience that you will remember forever.
After watching Big Hero 6 (my review is coming up on Friday!) we headed to the Big Hero 6 After Party that was held at Yamashiro Restaurant. Nestled up in the Hollywood Hills, Yashimiro is the most beautiful restaurant I have dined at. Not to mention the AHmazing view!
Yamashiro was packed with food, activities, photo opps, games, and all the fantabulous people from the Big Hero Premiere! I think it was the perfect place to hold the Big Hero 6 After Party and seeing all the kids having fun in the activities area was pretty awesome. They played games and even decorated Baymax Cupcakes!
Make sure you check out Big Hero 6 with the family when it soars into theaters on Friday, November 7th! Just in case you are not familiar with the movie, check out the Big Hero 6 Trailer below and follow the Big Hero 6 Facebook Page so you don’t miss a minute of the action!
