Do you ever feel completely overwhelmed with the amount of things that need done around the house? I’m not talking about the chores or day to day duties.

I’m talking about all the things that need fixed or updated. The things that DO NOT work anymore for the space or room they are in.

Torn screens, broken outlet covers, trim that needs painted, and the list goes. You reach a point where it all just seems like TOO MUCH. Where do you start when every room needs attention?

Where To Start When
Every Room Needs Attention

#1 Room by Room List

Grab a notebook and make a list of projects that need tacked in each room. You can do this all at once or target a room each day.

#2 Manageable Monthly To-Do Lists

Once you have your room by room list, break it down into manageable monthly to-do lists. There are several ways you can break down the tasks into monthly lists.

  • Seasonal Tasks that need done before weather changes.
  • Each room monthly.
  • Group like tasks together to take on each month.

#3 Shopping List

Now that you know what needs done, make a list of all the supplies you will need to purchase. You can put the shopping list on the same page with each monthly to-do list so that it’s easily accessible.

Hopefully this helps you to tackle it all when you don’t know where to start when every room needs attention.
