Whole30, Keto, Paleo, 21 Day Fix and now Clean20. Out of all of those, I’ve only tried 21 Day Fix but the upcoming release of Dr. Ian K. Smith’s newest diet book, Clean20: 20 Days, 20 Foods, Total Transformation as my interest peaked.

What is the Clean20 eating program? The Dr. Ian Smith Diet helps reduce unhealthy processed foods from our diets with a meal plan, recipes, substitutions with 20 clean foods.

What is Clean20 Eating Program

I’m not interested in Clean20 because 30 days is too long and not because I have a serious obsession with bread. I’m interested because it focuses on easy ways to reduce unhealthy processed foods in my diet.

And that is part of my self-care this year. I’ll be totally honest, I could never live an entirely unprocessed foods life but I do want to add more clean foods into my weekly meal plan.

According to Dr. Ian K. Smith the Clean 20 focuses on twenty clean foods like avocados, fresh fruit, and whole wheat pasta. This book and complete clean eating program teach the benefits of clean eating and how to implement it in our own lives as we reduce unhealthy processed foods.

Dr. Ian knows what works: it’s not eliminating food groups, but choosing foods within each group wisely to satisfy the palate and the body’s nutritional demands. The Clean 20 isn’t just vegetables. Grains are in. And so is fruit, fat, meat and fish. When palate and nutrition are in sync, weight loss not only follows, it sticks. The Clean 20 is a life and body changer.

I’ve already placed a pre-order for Clean20: 20 Foods, 20 Days, Total Transformation and I’m looking forward to finding out more about how to easily find, prepare and incorporate more clean foods into my diet.

I’m hoping the daily meal plans and easy workouts help give me a jumpstart before spring.
