The first year with twins can be a challenging one, especially those first we months. From finding a routine to nursing struggles to figuring out how to carry two babies at once. Babywearing twins IS possible thanks to the Weego Twin Baby Carrier! A life saver for twin moms, Weego is a convenient way to carry twins AND have both hands free!
Weego Twin Baby Carrier for Babywearing Twins
Being held, carried, and close to mom or dad can immediately soothe and calm fussy twins. With Weego Twin Baby Carrier parents can do that without being stuck in a chair. Don’t get me wrong, I miss rocking all my babies. My twins, however, loved being bounced and walked around when they were fussy more than they did rocking. I wish I had known about Weego four years ago as it is a great resource to get twins to nap at the same time or calm down.
Weego carriers are safe and snug carriers that can be immediately from birth, and the Preemie and Twin Carriers are suitable for premature babies. For twins, the Weego Twin Baby Carrier is meant for babies from 4lb up to 6 months of age, when they often become too heavy to carry together. That’s up to 6 months of hands-free carrying that mom and dad can enjoy! Think of all the multitasking you can do or outdoor walks you can take with needing a stroller!
Due to it’s special construction you can put the babies in the Weego TWIN in no time and without any help. You can even pass your babies to another person without removal from the carrier.
One big advantage of the Weego Baby Carrier is the inner pouch. It practically supports the back at the back and on the sides. This helps prevent the spine from tipping sideways, something other carriers do not do. The spine of a baby can be rounded to the back, but sideways it should be really straight, otherwise, babies with a tendency to scoliosis might get it or if they already have it, make worse. If the inner pouch is fastened well enough, the spine will not be able to bend sideways.
M-Position for Babywearing
The Weego Twin Baby Carrier has a two-pouch system that guarantees the proper M-Positions. Wondering what the M-Position is? It’s the natural seating and carrying position, and is very important during the first few months. You may look at the bit of the inner pouch between the legs of the baby and think “that’s not wide enough to provide the correct position“, but when the baby is small, the bit between the legs is wide enough and in connection with the shape of the inner pouch it provides the M-Position.
As twin babies grow, their M-Position changes and the Weego Twin Baby Carrier adjust for those needs.
- As legs get longer, the bit between them is not wide enough anymore but by reaching through the leg-holes, they can be stood up in the outer pouch for the correct M-Position at this stage.
- When there’s no longer enough room to stand them up, they will be guided out of the outer pouch leg-holes and the outer pouch (in connection with the baby sitting in the inner pouch) provides the M-Position at this stage.
If you are expecting twins or recently had twins, I highly recommend checking out the Weego Twin Baby Carrier to make life easier! It would also make a great baby shower if gift if you are shopping for a friend or family member.
