Happy National Pancake Day! Many believe pancakes originated over 30,000 years ago during the Stone Age.
Honestly, I don’t care when the first pancake was flipped, I’m just glad I can put them in my belly now. Especially today, when we celebrate its stackable deliciousness!
(This post is in partnership with Krusteaz’s.)
There are two awesome things about today being National Pancake Day. First, it’s Tuesday and as a Ray says, “Tuesdays we have pancakes. With maple syrup.”.
Second, there’s a new protein-packed pancake mix to enjoy! Krusteaz’s new Buttermilk Protein Pancake & Flapjack Mix is packed with 15 grams of protein per serving! All you need to do is add water, or you can get even more protein by mixing in milk and/or egg.
Thick and fluffy, Krusteaz’s Buttermilk Protein Pancake Mix is made with 100% whole grain flour and 4 grams of fiber to start the day off. No artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, just a whole lot of yum.
We made them with milk this time around and I liked the texture. Next time I’m going to try just water to see the difference in thickness and taste.
I’m not sure I will try it with egg…what about you? It might be too thick for me but I love having the different options for making protein pancakes with this Krusteaz’s mix.
