I recently told you about the release of Moana on Blu-ray and now I have something beautifully delicious to go with those bonus features! These Moana Cupcakes are so easy to whip together for family movie night.
We had one of those over the weekend, thanks to an awesome box of Moana Toys and goodies sent to us by the folks at Click Communications.
These Moana Cupcakes require nothing more than a boxed yellow cake mix, can of vanilla frosting, and Wilton Gold Sprinkles Mix. The gold flakes and balls screamed SHINY to me which reminded me of the crab-tastic scene where Jemaine Clements sings “Shiny” written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
While the Shiny song from Moana is what I’ve been singing for days, Miss Charlie has chosen another song. “How Far I’ll Go” is her favorite right now, thanks to the Moana Singing Necklace.
She adores this necklace and I’m going to have to buy extra batteries to have on hand, and maybe even another necklace just in case!
The second we opened the box of Moana goodies, that claiming began. My daughter wanted the necklace and Talking Pua, while my son claimed Maui’s Light-Up Fish Hook and Hei Hei.
She was not too thrilled when he started pointing his hook at Hei Hei and telling him to he was going to eat him for lunch!
I, on the other hand, filled my Moana Mug with some hot tea and relaxed with a cupcake while they played out scenes from the movie.
Kicking myself for not testing out the movie theater with toddlers for this one. They’ve watched it plenty since the blu-ray came out though, and they haven’t grown tired of it yet.
Pick up Moana on Blu-ray and enjoy Moana Cupcakes for your next family movie night!

What a great way to celebrate the movie. IT really was a great movie for the kids. I’d love to have it featured for a home movie night.
