The Land Before Time Collection is out in its entirety and I’ve got the family movie night snacks for you to enjoy it!!
Do you know how many The Land Before Time Movies there are? Fourteen! If you’re an 80s kid like me, you probably remember The Land Before Time: The Original Movie coming out, and all the fun dinosaur products that came with it.
I was excited to enjoy it all over again, only this time with my family, and I partnered with Pop Secret Popcorn to create these The Land Before Time Family Movie Night Snacks!
It’s no secret around here that we love family movie night. We don’t do anything fancy but, it’s all about the fun! And the food. It’s super easy to make themed movie night snacks for whatever film you are watching.
Take a few character names and pair them with snacks and you are set. One of the movie nights snacks that always makes an appearance is popcorn!
The Land Before Time Family Movie Night Snacks
For our The Land Before Time Family Movie Night, I set up Petrie’s Popcorn Bar! A big bowl of Pop Secret Popcorn, movie theater butter of course.
A few months ago I painted a popcorn bowl at a local pottery shop and it’s one of my favorite handmade pieces to date. We get a lot of use out of it, even if I do need to work on my letter alignment.
I picked up the 10ct package of Pop Secret Popcorn at Walmart because, with a family of six, it takes at least three bags for a family movie night. In addition to Pop Secret Popcorn, dishes of candies to mix in completed Petrie’s Popcorn Bar. Do you like to mix in things with your popcorn too? If you haven’t tried licorice yet I recommend that!
Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches often make an appearance during movie night, especially for the twins. I don’t think dinosaurs are big fans of peanut butter though, so I opted for Littlefoot’s Lettuce Wraps instead!
These lettuce wraps are super easy to roll up and the kids loved them, even my teen daughter. Such an easy movie night snack, and one that I will be making again for sure!
Wash a head of lettuce, and tear the larger outer pieces into strips. Top each one with a piece of turkey and a small slice of cheese, roll them up and use a toothpick to hold them closed until eaten.
Ice cream is another great option for movie night snacks, especially during the summer. Sharptooth Shakes in mini mason jars were a hit with the family. So much so that they all wanted seconds.
I made regular chocolate shakes with chocolate ice cream and milk, tossed in some chocolate chips (aka Sharp Teeth) and topped it with whipping cream. Great size and the perfect treat to finish off The Land Before Time family movie night!
Are you ready to plan your own The Land Before Time family movie night with these movie night ideas?
