When it comes to holiday parties, it’s not just about the food and the gifts. It’s also about the fun!
Hanging out with friends and family, enjoying movies, games, and chit chat are more reasons why I look forward to the holidays. Entertaining guests can be stressful, but it can also be really easy!
If you’ll be hosting friends and family this year, here are a few holiday entertaining tips that helped me out last year!

#1 Plan an Easy Menu
I hosted Christmas Eve Dinner last year for my family. I was a little freaked out at first thinking about a giant menu of turkey and all the fixings.
Then, I realized that a holiday dinner doesn’t have to be turkey, or involve a giant menu. I went with two kinds of pasta, three kinds of sauce, salad, and bread.
Easy to make and I could leave everything in warmers throughout the evening. Finger foods, sandwiches, and buffet style serving all make for an easy holiday menu.
#2 Offer a Variety of Beverages
Beverages were the thing I would always forget. Now I make sure to pick up extra coffee, water, soda, and sometimes wine when I’m entertaining guests.
This year I picked up a 6packs of A&W®, 7UP®, and Sunkist® for our holiday party. I added Holiday Bottle Labels to them to give them a festive look, and will be setting them out in a tree shape for my guests to enjoy. Grab my free Printable Holiday Bottle Labels so you can do the same!
#3 Have Entertainment Ready
Whether you are playing games, or watching movies, or dancing the jingle hop, make sure you are prepared. Have games picked out, dust off those cd’s, and stock up on beverages for holiday entertaining!
