Spice up that holiday breakfast
with a Chorizo Egg Wreath!
Holiday Traditions are the reasons I look forward to this time of year. Putting up the tree with kids after Thanksgiving dinner, playing Bingo at mom’s house on Christmas Eve, and everything in between. When I married my husband, we got the chance to start our own traditions.
This post is in partnership with Pillsbury. Any opinions and love for holiday traditions are 100% my own.
Chorizo Breakfast Wreath Made with Crescent Rolls
What is your favorite holiday tradition? One of ours is holiday breakfast together as a family on Thanksgiving and Christmas morning.
Hubby, myself, and the kids gathered around the table or cozied up on the couch with a simple breakfast. Simple, but oh so good.
Monkey Bread has been a favorite but I’m starting a new holiday breakfast tradition this year. One that adds in something my husband and his family love, Chorizo Egg Wreath!
Chorizo had never been in my belly until I met my husband. His family enjoyed it all the time and after first trying it, I could see why. Tasty, spicy, and an explosion of flavor.
Usually, we cook it with hamburger and use it for tacos, but I thought it would be the perfect addition to our holiday morning breakfast tradition. Thus, the Chorizo Egg Wreath was born!
Chorizo Egg Wreath Recipe
I tested out our Chorizo Egg Wreath on Halloween morning and it was hit! To make it, all you need are Crescent Rolls, Chorizo, eggs, and shredded cheese. It’s simple to make and is the perfect combo for holiday breakfast. Plus, the house will smell pretty amazing too!
I have to tell you that crescent roll wreaths are going to be a regular in our house. They are fun and easy, and you can fill it with so many different combinations.
Leftover turkey after Thanksgiving Dinner, chocolate and marshmallows for Christmas dessert, or even bake them like normal and gobble them up.
There are several ways to make a wreath with crescent rolls. For ours, I laid each piece wide end on the inside in and layered them in a circle.
Eggs were the first layer, then cheese, and finished with chorizo. To close the wreath, I brought the tip of each roll over the top and folded the point sideways to connect each piece.
Chorizo Egg Wreath Ingredients
- 1 Can of Crescent Rolls – we used Grands Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 5 Scrambled Eggs
- 1 Tube of Chorizo
- Shredded Cheese – however much you would like!
Bake the Chorizo Egg Wreath at 375 for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool a few minutes before devouring!
