Did you know Cars 3 is still showing in lots of theaters across the country?! I don’t know about you, but a comfy air-conditioned theater sounds pretty amazing with 99 degree temperatures in Iowa this week.
Whether you’ve already watched Cars 3 or are planning soon, don’t let the fun end when the credits roll. For all those McQueen lovin’ fans and Cruz fanatics, I’ve got 7 Fun Things To Do After Watching Cars 3, in this post sponsored by Spin Master!
7 Fun Things To Do
After Watching Cars 3
#1 Watch Cars 1 and Cars 2
Revisiting the first two Disney Cars films is great idea after watching Cars 3! You’ll get to see more Doc Hudson, laugh at more of Mater’s antics, and remember where Lightning McQueen came from.
#2 Head to the Races!
If you have a race track nearby, get tickets to a local race! We’ve got a Demolition Derby and Figure 8 Races coming to town in a few weeks and I can’t wait to take the kids. I’m sure we won’t see any Miss Fritters but it will be fun to watch the crashing and bashing of cars!
#3 Cars 3 Game Night
Make it a Family Game Night and enjoy some friendly competition after watching Cars 3. Race it out to become Thunder Hollow Champ in the new Cars 3 Thunder Hollow Mud Madness Board Game by Spin Master, exclusively at Walmart.
Don’t worry, no actual mud is involved, just tons of fun! There are two cars with this game, making it a great game for twins to play together.
I’m not sure what it is about my twins, but they LOVE rolling “crash” on the dice. They really enjoy pretend crashing into each other on the game board, well in real life too.
I wonder if that is a twin thing? Thunder Hollow Mud Madness is also great for family game night when you battle it out against each other two at a time. Set up a little scoreboard and see how is the reigning champion at the end of the night!
#4 Paint Wooden Cars
Pick up some wooden cars and paints for the kids to decorate their own race cars. Make sure to add some windshield eyes to really give them character! You could also pick up model cars for older kids to build.
#5 Check Out Vintage Cars
If Cars 3 fosters a new love for vintage cars in your kids, go check some out. Find out if you have a vintage car museum or an area in town where vintage car owners meet up. There are a couple spots in town where they gather in the summer in our town, and it’s always fun to stop and peek.
#6 Read Cars Books
Cuddle up after watching Cars 3 and read your favorite Disney Cars books. We have several on our bookshelf that get read pretty often, and it’s fun to see what the little ones remember from the movies as they are reading the books.
#7 Watch Cars 3 Again!
If you walk out loving the Cars 3 as much as I did, go watch it again! While watching the second time, see how many Disney Easter Eggs in Cars 3 you can find! When you are done the second time around, pick up Thunder Hollow Mud Madness and make it a family game night, too!
