How to Make Fried Pickles

How to Make Fried Pickles

First, line a baking tray with tinfoil and set aside. Next, slice your pickles into quarters, stem to stem, and set aside. Then, combine the milk and egg into a shallow dish and set that aside.

Next, combine the flour, bread crumbs, mustard powder, salt, and pepper in a second shallow dish and adjust to taste.

Fried Pickles Ingredients

Dip each pickle into the milk and egg mixture and then into the flour mixture, turning to coat completely. Place the breaded pickles on your baking tray and repeat with all pickles until they are all coated. Freeze for 20 minutes or overnight.

Making Fried Pickles

When you are ready to fry pickles, heat your oil in a skillet, dutch oven, or deep fryer until it reaches 375F. Remove the pickles from the freezer and carefully place 6 at a time in the oil, turning once to ensure both sides are completely golden brown. Once browned, remove to a paper-lined plate and repeat with all pickles. Serve immediately.
