7 Things You’ll Always Find in My Living Room

The kitchen and living room tie for popularity in our house. They are where we spend the most time and make the most memories.

From game nights to movie nights to family chats, you’ll often find us all gathered in the living room. I addition to the people I love, here are 7 things you’ll always find in my living room.

This post is in partnership with Febreze.

Here are 8 things you'll always find in my living room

7 Things You’ll Always Find
in My Living Room

#1 Books and Movies

There is no shortage of books and movies in my living room. Family Movie Night is a regular in our home and even though we stream most of our movies, there are quite a few favorites we like having physical copies of. Three of my four kids LOVE to read which you’ll quickly figure when looking at our shelves.

#2 Record Player

Two years ago I bought my husband a record player for Christmas. It’s made for lots of fun family dance parties and our kids are finding more and more oldies that they love. Our record collection is slowly growing but it’s quickly become a staple in my living room.

#3 Artwork by My Kids

All of my kids have a love for creativity. Painting is the overall favorite and almost every room of the house has something one of them has created. There are two things on the storage unit above that my oldest daughter made – any guesses which ones?

#4 Toys

My twins are only five so toys are going to be part of my decor for several more years. Sometimes they are covering the living room rug and other times they are nicely organized in their containers for 15 minutes. Either way, it’ll be a while before I know a living room without toys and I’m totally okay with that!

This little dude has been home with me for two days thanks to a nasty cough.😷 I’ve enjoyed the time with just him but man even when sick they run you ragged. 🙃#momlife #myson #boymom #boyinabox #legoduplo

#5 Cordless Cellular Shades

Years ago I worked in the drapery department at JCPenney and fell in love with cordless cellular shades. They are safer for children, smoothly slide up and down, and look really nice hanging in the window. I don’t think I could love any other shade like I do cellular shades.

#6 Awesome Pillows

My addiction to decorative pillows rivals my addiction to storage containers. Although I’ve really been working on the second one and purged quite a few the last few months! :pats self on back:

A few times a year I buy living room pillows (sometimes brand new on clearance and other times at garage sales like the one below that was $5/pair!) and it just makes me happy to look at them when the living room is all cleaned up.

PS: That chair was a free score while at garage sales over the weekend!

#7 Air Purifier

After finding out about the benefits of air purifiers a few years ago I always keep on in the living room. Currently, we are using the Febreze Tabletop Air Purifier with Scent Cartridge.

I really like that it cleans and freshens the air with a unique 4-stage system AND ads a Fresh Febreze scent to the air before releasing it back into the room. For the scent, you simply insert the Febreze scent filter that is included and set the freshness scent control dial to your desired level.

8 Things You'll Always Find in My Living Room: Febreze Air Purifier

If you’re curious about the unique 4-Stage system that Febreze Air Purifiers use to clean and freshen the air, here it is:

Stage 1: Dirty stale odor-filled air is drawn into the purifier.
Stage 2: Filter traps odors and large airborne particles like pet hair, lent, and dust.
Stage 3: Air moves through filter and up to 99% of microscopic particles are captured.
Stage 4: Fresh Febreze scent is added to the filtered air before released back into the room.

Febreze Air Purifiers with HEPA-Type filters removes up to 99% of air pollutants using air-cleaning levels. They are available nationwide in 3 sizes: Tabletop, Mini Tower, and Tower.
