Family Game Night Gift Guide 2020

Elf: Journey From the North Pole
I was surprised at home much fun this Elf board game by FUNKO is. Both fun to play and set up with it’s snowflake shaped puzzle piece center.
You lay out your own paths while trying to reach certain goals or the North Pole. There is an adorable little elf character everyone moves around in an attempt to gather the most points before the end of the game.
My kids played this twice in a row and the oldest two would have played a third time if the twins didn’t want to play a different game. The best part, it is currently on sale for $9.99 at Target!

Last Defense
Another favorite that my kids wanted to play twice in a row is Last Defense by FUNKO! Yep, they are killing it with the new game for 2020 and I have a a few more to share but back to Last Defense.
A fun, fast paced, adrenaline rush of a game that even my twins at 7-years-old had a blast playing! You are trying to save the city from different alien monsters but you only have 20 minutes to do it.
There is an app to use with the game that is available to download for free in the App Store or Google Play. The app times the game as well as tells you where to move the aliens around as they attack.
Players gather tools to collect scientists to take out the aliens. If you take them all out within 20 minutes you win. A collective team effort makes Last Defense perfect for family game night and it’s only $17.79 on Amazon right now!

Footloose Party Game
Can we talk about the adorable boots included with the Footloose Party Game by FUNKO? Yes you can put them on your fingers and dance them around. No you do not have to use them for dancing in the game.
The concept of the game is to gather points but not to bust. Breaking the rules is encouraged, score bonuses with dance-offs, and have some good old fashioned 80’s fun with this game that is only $11.80 on Amazon right now!

Something Wild Card Game
Great stocking stuffers at under $8.00 on Amazon, Something Wild Card Games come in a variety of characters and can be combined for play!
It reminded me of a mix of UNO and Sets & Run. You try to gather sets and runs but also try to gain the character power. I love the quick and easy game play as well the different characters like Jack Skellington, Maleficent, Woody, Ariel, Mickey, and more!

Back to the Future – Back in Time
For all my time travel loving friends, Back to the Future – Back in Time by FUNKO is for you! There is even a little Delorean!
It helps if you’ve seen the movie before you play the game but it’s still fun either way. The focus is on main movie plot points and requires cooperative game play pitting players against Biff and his gang.
There are quite a few pieces to the game but once you get the hang of it there is a ton of fun to be had! Plus, you can combine a family game night and family moie night in one for this one!

There are several different puzzle cards included as well as a handy storage bag to keep everything together!

Bye, Felicia
Get ready to laugh, a lot, as players try to guess what others are thinking. Do great minds really think alike? If not, players are good heartedly dismissed by saying, “Bye, Felicia!”

How can you resist a game that comes with six squishy goats? That’s what you get with Who’s the G.O.A.T.? so you can complete some of the off-the-wall physical challenges.

Exploding Kittens Card Game
A family-friendly card game, Exploding Kittens takes abut 5 minutes to learn and 15 minutes to play! Think of it as a “highly strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian roulette” mixed with UNO where if you draw an exploding kitten, you lose except that are goats, magical enchiladas, and kittens…that can kill you.
