I was provided with a Dynatrap for this post. Any opinions are 100% my own.
Summer and spending time in the backyard go hand in hand. Cookouts, playing with the kids, and just relaxing are some of the things we enjoy outdoors. What we don’t enjoy…pesky insects.
I have a slight panic attack when wasps, bees, or mosquitoes come near the kids, especially the twins. There is nothing like swatting at or running away screaming from insects in attack mode, but thankfully, Dynatrap has taken away the insect worry outdoors for us!
Dynatrap is a pesticide-free and environmentally friendly insect trap and guess what else? It’s QUIET! That loud buzzing, humming, and zapping that you may be familiar with in a bug zapper, is something you won’t find with Dynatrap.
These traps attract mosquitoes, biting flies and other flying insects with a UV fluorescent bulb that produces warm light.
Plus, there is an exclusive coating of titanium dioxide (TiO2) inside Dynatrap that produces carbon dioxide (CO2), which is irresistible to mosquitoes.
AND, the insects are lured to the powerful vacuum fan, and that is where they are collected and trapped into the retaining cage. In the cage, the insects are dehydrated and killed.
The Dynatrap Trap is super easy to set up and it is low maintenance, which is awesome. I literally plugged it in in the morning, and it was ready to start trapping at night! There is a little on/off switch to turn it on once it’s charged, but other than that, you are all set to go!
Tips for using a Dynatrap Trap
- Save the box to store your trap during the off-season.
- It works best when placed 5-6ft off the ground and in a dark place away from competing light.
- You can use the trap indoors and outdoors!
- The bulb will last roughly 4 months depending on the amount of use.
- Dynatrap does have a 10ft cord and requires electricity.
Whether dad is having the kids’ friends over for a pool party, barbecuing with the guys or just catching some rays, don’t let bugs get the best of him! Dynatrap would make a great Father’s Day Gift if you are doing some last-minute shopping!

This sounds great! I’m not a fan of chemical repellants or anything along those lines and we have to come up with other, crafty ways to avoid the bugs AND Deet!
Thanks for the post!
