My teen daughter put dance class back on the schedule this year. She took two years off to focus on her junior high studies (she’s a determined soul) but was ready to hit the floor again.
I’m looking forward to new dance moves, costumes, and recitals. You know what else I’m looking forward to? Making lots of fun dance treats like these DIY BOOtiful Ballet Kits that are a perfect Halloween Dance Class Treat!
DIY BOOtiful Ballet Kits
{Perfect Halloween Dance Class Treat}
I’m so glad I have teenager that still lets me do these kinds of things for her. Not only does she let me, her friends love getting them too.
These BOOtiful Ballet Kits are sure to put a spook in their dance class this Halloween. Plus, they are easy to make!
Grab yourself some white paper sacks, black paint, Halloween themed ribbon and stickers/embellishments, and a ghost stamp from a local craft store. That’s it. BOOm.
Brace yourself for these instructions. Ready? Measure the ghost stamps waist. I know it sounds crazy, but you want to make sure you cut his ribbon tutu so it fits.
Now that you’ve done that, put some black paint on a paper plate or newspaper. Dab the ghost stamp in it to cover and stamp it on the paper sack to create a ghost stamp.
While your ghosts are drying, get batty and stick on those stickers or embellishments. The circles I picked out added a pop of color and went nicely with the tutu ribbon I grabbed.
Once your ghosts are dry, it’s time to start gluing on those tuts. Take the ghost stamp waist measure and cut as many tutu ribbon strips as you need for your bats.
Now, glue on those tutus with white glue or super glue. Use tweezers or a toothpick if you need to position the ghosts tutus just so.
Your BOOtiful ghosts are done, so let’s fill that kit to for BOO’ing! I stocked up on candy like M&M’s®, SNICKERS®, TWIX®, MILKY WAY®, 3 MUSKETEERS®, and those adorable mini Halloween soda cans at Walmart to fill my BOOtiful Ballet Kits. That’s right, those 7UP® and Sunkist® mini monster cans are back again this year, and just the right size for a BOO Kit!
Between the Halloween soda cans and a couple handfuls of my favorite chocolates, there’s enough to make the girls in dance class go batty for these BOO Kits.
