Thirsty Thursday is here and this week I left the alcohol in the cupboard. With summer on the horizon, this Chocolate PB Bomb Shake is great for cooling down.
The PB Bombs make this shake above and beyond on the delicious scale. With just a few ingredients that you probably have on hand, you can whip up this chocolate shake recipe in no time.
Chocolate PB Bomb Shake
PB Bomb Ingredients
- 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
- 3 tablespoons raw honey
- 3/4 cup rice puffs
Shake Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 6-8 ice cubes
- 4 tbs cacao powder
- 1 tbs peanut butter
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 3 tbs maple syrup
- Stevia if needed
How to Make a Chocolate PB Bomb Shake
First, heat the honey and peanut butter in a small pot or the microwave until just melted. Keep an eye on it because heating too much will cause the peanut butter to burn.
Next, pour the rice puffs into the mixture and mix into the peanut butter until everything is coated. You’ll have one big, sticky, ball.
Use your hands to portion and roll the mixture into small balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet or parchment paper in the freezer to set for thirty minutes.
While the PB bomb balls are freezing, begin making the shake by placing all the ingredients into a blender. Blend on high until fully combined. Pour shake into a glass and top with the PB bombs.
This recipe makes one large shake or several small ones and you will yield 8-10 balls depending on size. Give this chocolate shake recipe a try and let me know what you think!
