I’ll be honest, my blender doesn’t get used much outside of Summer. When the warm weather hits, ice cream concoctions are happening in our kitchen.
If it weren’t for those glasses of deliciousness, I would have placed the blender in a garage sale ages ago. Ice Cream is always on sale and the “melt in your mouth, not in your hand candy” is great for Summer, making this Chocolate M&M’s® Mix Up is the perfect Summer treat!
The great thing about the Chocolate M&M’s® Mix Up is that it doesn’t matter which one you choose! You can go with M&M’s® Crispy, M&M’s® Original, or M&M’s® Peanut to mix up in your ice cream. You could even go vanilla or chocolate ice cream to give you even more options!
Chocolate M&M’s® Mix Up
Step 1) Place 6 Scoops of Ice Cream in the Blender and a splash of Milk
Step 2) Blend until shake consistency
Step 3) Crush M&M’s® in a plastic bag and mix into the ice cream
Using the M&M’s® Crispy was great because the crispiness kind of added a “maltiness” to the treat. Everyone in the house loved it and a treat that both kids and parents can enjoy is a winner in my book.
Think of all the happy guests you would have at your backyard bashes over the next few months if you were serving these up! You could even set up a station with a variety of crushed M&M’s® ready to go for guests to create their own Mix-Ups!
Even more awesome about the M&M’s® Crispy is that I found the 37oz bag on sale for $2.91 at Sam’s Club! Seriously! I grabbed one but also had to grab one of M&M’s® Peanut and one M&M’s® Original as well.
At this size and price, we can make lots of Mix-Ups over the Summer and play lots of Mini M&M’s® Games while we enjoy our treats!
What are these Mini M&M’s® Games I speak of? They are fun ways to play with your “melt in your mouth, not in your hand” candy!
- Tic Tac Toe: Each person picks a color in place of Xs and Os
- Cup Toss: Place a cup in the middle of the table and try to make your M&M’s® in the cup
- Go Fish: Grab a handful of M&M’s® and ask other players for colors to get matches
- Slip n’ Slider: Slide your M&M’s® across the table, trying to reach the edge but not falling off
- Heads Up: Toss your M&M’s® into the air and try to catch them in your mouth
Having four kids, we kept our games super easy, but if you are looking for more of a challenge, you gotta check out these 6 Minute to Win It Games with M&M’s® from DoSmallThingsWithLove.com!
