*I attended this event on behalf of Disney and all expenses were covered. My Big Hero 6 Review and all opinions are 100% my own.

Yesterday I told you all about the amazing experience at the Big Hero 6 Premiere at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. I absolutely loved Big Hero 6 and that honestly surprised me. I knew I was going to like it based on the previews and the huggably adorable Baymax. I didn’t know I was going to walk out of the theatre and be so eager to get home and take my kiddos to see it. I’m serious. I even asked the Director the next day when the second Big Hero 6 movie was going to be announced. I’ll have more on that later, but for now, take your kids to see Big Hero 6, which opened in theatres TODAY and check out the 4 things kids will learn from Big Hero 6.

1) Smart is a Super Power

You do not need x-ray vision or laser beams shooting out of your fingers to be considered a super hero. Smart is a super power in itself. Big Hero 6 reminds us that smart gives you the power to dream, build, create, and change the world. We see Hiro, Wasabi, Honey-Lemon, Go Go Tamago, and Baymax all bring their minds together to overcome obstacles. Each one in a different way.

2) Technology is for Girls Too

In a male driven technology world it’s nice to have a movie like Big Hero 6 to tell kids that technology is for girls too. roboticists, scientists, chemical engineers, IT, or whatever you want to do – the world is full of opportunities for boys AND girls to do whatever their mind desires when it comes to a career. Honey Lemon is a chemistry whiz and Go Go Tamago is an adrenaline junkie that uses her love for speed in smart ways.

3) Intelligence Isn’t Biased

Intelligence doesn’t care what gender you are, what race you are, what color your hair is, or what kind of clothes you wear. Intelligence is inside of all of us, it’s all in how we decide to use it. It can be used for good and bad, the choice is ours and the potential to do great things lies within all of us. Big Hero 6 is made of characters with different personalities. You have Hiro the Robotics Prodigy, Baymax the Personal Health Care Companion, Wasabi the martial arts master, Fred  the laid back dude with lots of ides, Go Go Tamago the adrenaline junkie, and Honey Lemon the unstoppable chemistry whiz. Together they make a team that can’t be beat.

4) Death and Living On

One of the great things about Disney Movies is the way they tell the story, for children. When we lose someone we love and care about, they live on within us and the decisions we make. They are always with us and Big Hero 6 will show our kids that in a non-terrifying way.

Big Hero 6 is NOW playing in theaters nationwide! If you have the chance to check it out in 3D, doooooo ittttttt! Then come back and let me know if you and your kiddos loved Big Hero 6 as much as I did. Hubby s taking the older two kids tonight and I can’t wait to see my son come bounding through door telling me all his favorite parts! 🙂

Sent the little guy, his dad, and grandma – they loved it. I’ll probably get to see the iPad version. 🙂 Fun meeting you in LAX.
