Thanks to Little Tikes, the twins are enjoying their very first sandbox! Most people think of a sandbox as a Spring and Summer Toy, but we are having gorgeous Fall weather.
That, and I had trouble finding sand in town until I lucked out and our local Walmart had 3 bags of damaged play sand (it got wet) for $2.00! So, to the sandbox we shall go and if you are too, check out the best sandbox toys for toddlers to play with!

I bet you have some pretty awesome sandbox toys in your house already. Measuring cups, old butter containers, and even strainers make some of the best sandbox toys.
If you don’t have any you are able to part with, grab this Bucket and Shovel Set for $4.99 that comes with 6 pieces!
Here’s something I recently came across and it’s actually pretty sweet! The Hand Trux is great for digging in sand, but it’s also great for playing in the snow too.
It’s an uber cool hyped up shovel that you wear, and I can see kids having a blast with it, especially kids that love digging with spoons already.
We actually had some of the best sandbox toys, long before we had a sandbox. My kids are diggers, especially in dirt. The Melissa & Doug Sunny Patch Seasides Sidekicks Sandmolding Set is a favorite of ours, and while we are probably due for a new set, the kids we excited to take it into the sandbox.
The Little Tikes Cozy Coupe Sandbox is getting a lot of use at our house. If you are shopping for a sandbox, I recommend checking it out. It holds up to 350lbs of sand, and I didn’t even come near putting that much in yet and the kids are still having a blast!
There are 2 built in seats with cup holders and a protective cover to keep it from turning into the neighborhood litter box. Pretty sure these are some the best features I’ve seen in a sandbox honestly.
