This past year has been a difficult one for me. Working from home with toddler twins proved to be a challenge in the balance department. My hours were crazy, intermittent, and affecting the family function.
I knew something had to give and that meant ME finding a schedule that worked, for everyone. Baby steps began and the first step was bringing the family back to the dinner table with Bertolli® and delicious Baked Chicketti!

Family dinners at the table are something I always made sure my family had, before the twins. As things got hectic, dinners became separate with me eating while working, the twins and hubby at the table, and the older two kids in the family room.
It broke my heart knowing that MY schedule was preventing family meals from happening. With just a few simple ingredients and a small amount of time, I brought the family back to the table and man did it feel good.
Spaghetti is one meal everyone in our house gobbles up without complaint. That, and chicken. I combined those two loves for my first attempt at a different style of spaghetti, and it turned out fantastic!
The smell of the Bertolli® Pasta Sauce bubbling in the pan, and the chicken baking in the oven, brought the family to the kitchen before the meal was done. That put a smile on my face because I knew I was heading in the right direction.
While cooking Baked Chicketti for my family, I could feel the sadness inside me subsiding. That sadness over letting the imbalance go on so long.
But, as I stood watching the Bertolli® Pasta Sauce come to a boil, and smelled the Tuscan Inspired aromas fill the kitchen, I felt my heart begin to bubble and the aroma of love flow out.
Although time and schedules had fogged my vision, I was doing now what needed to be done, and that makes me a great mom. I am a great mom and Bertolli® helped me make a great meal for my family.
As I plated up the Baked Chicketti and called the family to the table, I was taken back to childhood. Those family dinners my mom made and called us to the table for. The flavors of home that I missed and the tradition I love. That many families love.
There is something about being around the table with the people you love that fills your soul. Bertolli® Pasta Sauces knows this too, and they are celebrating their 150th anniversary of being a part of traditions and family values at the dinner table!
I picked up Bertolli® Pasta Sauce at Walmart while I was shopping for this dish. The flavors and natural ingredients are what tempted me. I opt for products that make my meals taste homemade, without all the work since I’m short on time.
Bertolli® Pasta Sauce lets me do that in so many ways, and oh my goodness the taste! Each bite tastes fresh and every ingredient compliments the other resulting in a sauce that transports you to the finest Italian restaurant while sitting at your own table.
Okay, okay…now that you’re drooling, it’s time to fill your belly with my Baked Chicketti!

I’m looking forward to many more family dinners at the table now that I have a good balance with working at home. Things are running more smoothly around the house, everyone is happy, and no one is leaving the dinner table hungry or yearning for family time!
