I fondly remember my early teen girl days. Flipping through issues of Teen and YM seeing what products were filling Caboodles.
Spending Saturday mornings organizing the second bathroom in our home I had claimed. My framed NKOTB poster hung on the wall. The back of the toilet adorned with a pretty display of perfumes.
You can see why I’m excited to decorate the second bathroom in our home for my teen daughter!
A few small touches here and there will turn any bathroom into the perfect teen girl’s bathroom. I’ve got 6 things every Teen Girl’s Bathroom needs if there happens to be one taking over a bathroom in your home.
6 Things Every Teen Girl’s Bathroom Needs To Have
#1 Mirror, Mirror on the Wall
It doesn’t have to be on the wall, but a mirror is a must. A vanity mirror, standing makeup mirror like the one my daughter loves, or even a large handheld mirror are perfect.
#2 What’s that Smell?
Hopefully the answer is is roses or the ocean or even fresh dried towels. Not whatever is in the trash or toilet. Candles, potpourri, scented oils, melting wax…any of them are better than a stinky bathroom.
#3 Here Hairbrush, Hairbrush, Hairbrush
Hairbrushes and combs get left on the sink, toilet tank, toilet lid, and even the edge of the tub. Having a container to corral hairbrushes keeps them from taking over the bathroom.
#4 Tisket a Tasket, Trash Can or Waste Basket
Every bathroom should have a trash can or waste basket. Whether a teen girl occupies it or not. But, especially when a teen girl with a monthly visitor occupies one.
#5 Doing it Your Way
Hanging a DIY Art Piece gives your teen girl’s bathroom a wow factor that nobody’s bathroom will have. I made a simple DIY Art Piece using toilet paper tubes from empty rolls of Quilted Northern®!
It turned out pretty spectacular if I do say so myself. You’d never even know I used a toilet paper tube to paint with! I love the textured look and how the circles give off a bubble appearance.
All you need are flat canvas boards, acrylic paint, and toilet paper tubes to create your own fabulous DIY Art Piece.’
To start, squirt your base color onto a plate. Take your toilet paper tube and dunk one flat side into the paint. In a swirling motion, apply the pain to the canvas.
Let the first coat dry for about 30 minutes, then apply a second coat. Spin the canvas so you are applying swirls in a different direction to get the texture look.
Let the second coat dry for 30 minutes and get ready for circle fun! Squirt black paint onto another plate. Take the open circle end of the toilet paper tube and dip it in the black paint so the whole rim is covered.
Now dab the circle all over the canvas. This part is fun because you can go to pattern town and make those circles do whatever you want!
#6 Great Toilet Paper
Great toilet paper is on the list of things every teen girl’s bathroom needs because you need to leave the bathroom with confidence. When you have 2-ply Quilted Northern® Ultra Soft & Strong® with Cleanstretch® toilet paper, you get a unique construction that limits tissue ripping and separation.
Our girls get ripped and separated from their friends enough in school. They don’t need to deal with it in the bathroom too!
Just like I crafted that DIY Art Piece for my teen girl’s bathroom, Quilted Northern® is meticulously crafted for maximum comfort and durability. While you are picking up those things every teen girl’s bathroom needs, pick up Quilted Northern® at Walmart, a 100 year old brand now featuring a new toilet paper pattern and product packaging.
After all, the best bathroom experiences are the ones you don’t remember. Quilted Northern® is designed so you can forget your bathroom experience!
What would you add to the list of things every teen girl’s bathroom needs?
