The laundry of twin toddlers is a chore I’d never met before. On the days they decide to go diapers-only at home, I don’t object because that means less laundry.
We’ve got dirt digging adventures in the backyard and everyday toddler messes that create quite the pile of toddler laundry. Toss in potty training clothing and it becomes DIRTY toddler laundry.
When it comes to fighting toddler laundry during potty training, it can take a bit of extra effort. Don’t let those potty accidents take over your toddler’s wardrobe. With these 3 Laundry Tips for Potty Training hopefully you can make those toddler clothes last a little longer.
3 Laundry Tips for Potty Training
1) Rinse Clothing when Potty Training Accidents Happen
One of my twins likes to play with their poop. Yep, I said it. I have a child that plays with their poop. They can’t just tell us they need changed, they have to paint us a picture on the wall, floor, and clothes.
Those clothes have to be rinsed! No way am I tossing that artwork into the laundry with MY clothes, unless it is rinsed.
2) Separate Potty Training Clothing
The smell of potty training accidents lingers, especially on clothing. When adding potty training clothing to the dirty laundry, keep them in a separate laundry basket.
You don’t want them to sit around too long because that gives off a litter box smell. Having their own basket allows you to make sure those are always going in the laundry rotation.
3) Bleach Potty Training Clothing
Stains and smells from potty training can ruin a great toddler wardrobe. Bleach those bleachable potty training clothing items to keep them fresh and bright.
I went to Walmart to grab some Clorox® Bleach the other night and you know what I found in the bleach aisle? TWO NEW Clorox® Bleach products that are going to make using bleach a whole lot easier!
Why do these new Clorox® Bleach products make using bleach easier? Because these products are water activated and only start working when you want them to!
The water activated component of Clorox® Bleach Crystals™ and Clorox® Bleach Packs™ takes the fear out of using bleach with no more spills, splashes, or bleach damage to your clothing. You’re liking laundry just a little bit more right now aren’t you?
The Clorox® Bleach Packs™ provide easy “toss and go” convenience using bleach in laundry. I can without a doubt say that Clorox® Bleach Packs™ are my laundry soulmate when it comes to cleaning potty training clothing.
All I have to do is toss in one of the packs 5 minutes after the wash cycle begins. That’s it! The packs are pre-measured for toss and go use, so I can move on to the next item on the to-do list.
When it comes to tackling potty training laundry, the power of Clorox® Bleach is now easier to use with less mess. We’ve already got a mess on our hands with potty training accidents, we don’t need them in the laundry room too!
Plus, it’s the same great Clorox® Bleach power that you trust but now, both packs and crystals are compact and easy to store. Just toss and go and clean up those bleachable moments in toddlerhood!
