Have you ever gone a little overboard to help support your child’s dreams? Please tell me I’m not the only one@ I’m sure it’s something a lot of parents do at one time or another, just maybe not to the extreme that Scoot and Kate Johansen have taken it. The House opens in theaters on June 30th and it looks like it’s going to be a hilarious film about parenthood! To celebrate, I’ve got an awesome The House Movie Giveaway going on!
Over the years I’ve probably spent more than I should on dance pictures and this year dropped over $100 on pointe shoes for her to drop the class. I’ve purchased oodles of tootsie roll cans and Girl Scout cookies to help my kids reach sales goals. I love them so I do those things, but I do have limits.
It sounds limits are off the table in The House, when Scott and Kate Johansen (Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler) lose their daughter Alex’s college fund. They become desperate to earn it back so she can pursue her dream of attending a university. With the help of their neighbor Frank (Jason Mantzoukas), they decide to start an illegal casino in his house.
The House cast includes:
- Will Ferrel as Scott Johnasen
- Amy Poehler as Kate Johansen
- Nick Kroll
- Allison Tolman
- Michaela Watkins
- Ryan Simpkins as Alex Johansen
- Jessie Ennis
- Rob Huebel
- Cedric Yarbrough as Reggie Henderson
- Jason Mantzoukas as Frank Theodorakis
- Oscar Nominee Jeremy Renner
Thanks to Warner Bros. Pictures, one lucky Mom on the Side reader is going to WIN a $50 Visa Gift Card to have a ‘wild parents night out at the movies’ with THE HOUSE!
