Things that make life easier and more fun. That’s what this list of Must Haves for Three Year Old Twins includes. Actual products that, over the past year, have been a life saver for this mom of twins. These products are used on an almost daily basis in our house, and months later, they are still go-to items for the twins right now. They turn four next month, and I can’t wait to see if and how this lists changes over the year!
Must Haves for Three Year Old Twins
Out of all the LeapFrog products that we own, LeapFrog LeapStart is by far used the most by the twins. They get it out all on their own, pick books, and spend a good 30 minutes playing and learning with the stories.
Giant Building Blocks
We’ve had Outdoor Jenga for two years now and it’s never made it outside. The twins and our 10 year old love using them as giant building blocks. The size of the blocks are great for building towers, walls, race tracks, and pretty much anything little minds can come up with.
A small house plus four children makes for noise ordinance violations quite often. 😀 Not only are headphones great for blocking out noise, but they are also great for providing twins with a little quiet time from each other. At least once a day Mr. Oliver gets annoyed with Miss Charlie and asks her to be quiet because she’s giving him a headache. Buying toddler headphones for each twin allows them to tune out the noise when they need a break.
Kids Kindle Fire
After using several different tablets, I can tell you the Kids Kindle Fire is the only tablet I will trust in the hands of my toddlers. Going on two years and they still haven’t damaged them. I can’t speak highly enough about the case and parental controls, and would put this on the list of must haves for toddler twins again and again.
My twins play with LEGO Duplo so much that I have designated a bin in the TV stand for their sets. What I love the most, is watching them create their own designs. They do build them as their sets, but Mr. Oliver loves to make giant worlds using all the pieces, all over the living room floor. Having a 10 year old and 15 year old who also build with LEGO, I have a feeling my house will never be LEGO free and I’m totally okay with that!
Wrapping up this list of Must Haves for Three Year Old Twins, is a Play Kitchen with enough space for two to cook! Another thing my twins play with on a daily basis and for the last two years, they have asked Santa for a new kitchen. They got one last year, so this year he brought them a play set of metal pots and pans like mommy’s.
Kid-Friendly Cooking Utensils
Shortly after turning three, my twins took a huge interest in helping mommy in the kitchen. Toddlers especially love helping bake cookies and cupcakes. Having kid-friendly cooking utensils on hand, like spoons and whisks, makes it easier for them to help mix up those chocolate chip cookies.
Craft Supply Box
Fill a tote with all kinds of supplies for crafting because toddlers LOVE to craft. Paper, colors, washable markers, water color paints, finger paints, and Play-Doh are great things to start with. Painting is something my twins love to do right now so I also keep a wipe-able tablecloth handy. 😉
